The theme of this year’s four-day, three-night summer programme was “Dreams”. At first, the students found the topic a bit vague and difficult to grasp. After participating in various activities, they began to understand the theme, and became more and more engaged.

There was a video sharing how two participants with disabilities achieved their dreams, which helped the students realise that perseverance and determination can lead to positive outcomes. The “Life Auction” activity created an environment for students to learn that to achieve their dreams, they need to plan strategically to avoid missing opportunities. The “Telekinesis” activity encouraged students to coordinate and collaborate within their teams to complete a task, helping them to realise that achieving dreams requires partners and companions. Through these activities, students came to realise that dreams are not unattainable, for in life, everyone can pursue their dreams.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Requests

• Thank God for good weather throughout the summer programme, which gave us a smooth and safe process. The students came to understand that dreams can be pursued through various activities.
• We are grateful that a few graduates were willing to come and participate in the summer activity on the weekend, when they had time away from work.
• We pray for wisdom to prepare for next year’s summer programme, as we may try a different model that allows more graduates to participate.
