BECAUSE OF THEM, I AM WILLING TO STEP OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE
By Betsy H
I am a girl who grew up in a bustling city with convenient transportation, delicious food from all over the world, and a beautiful sea nearby. Today, to the surprise of some, I have moved to live in a little mountain town that is nearly two thousand metres above sea level. Living conditions here are simple, and the chilly winter is very difficult to endure. Honestly speaking, if it is not because of the people of this region, I would never ever choose to live in this little town.
WHO ARE THEY?
Last April, I visited a kindergarten in Meigu county for the first time. There were more than thirty very cute and innocent children. They greeted me warmly, though I was a stranger, and were willing to play games with me. We played together, laughed together, and had a really wonderful time.
I asked God, what were the needs of these children? What could I do for them? If they only needed better material things, then I could buy them more toys, candies and clothes. But God told me, what they need is love. They need teachers who willingly love them and journey with them as they grow.
Oh God, I know what I should do now. Even if I have to step out of my comfort zone, because of them, I will!
