THE LORD’S PROVISION

The sun shone brightly through the window into our hotel room, on the last day of our vision trip to Meigu county. The balmy weather was a timely blessing from our Father to the Meigu team, as it was the big day of the Meigu project site’s 20th anniversary celebration.

I recall how three days before the celebration, when we travelled from Zhaojue county to Meigu county, the local staff arranging our transportation shared that it had been raining heavily in Meigu for the past two weeks. There was even a black rain warning the day before we left for Meigu. Landslides had blocked the only road between Zhaojue and Meigu counties. The heavy rain stopped in the early morning of the day we left Zhaojue, allowing most of the landslide clean up work to be completed by the time our local coworker drove us to Meigu for the celebration.

Over the past twenty years, our Father has not only provided timely weather for the Meigu team, He has also provided local partners, donated services from professional teams from various countries, and behind-the-scenes prayer warriors.

The next time I see bright sunshine glistening through a window, I will surely think of how our Heavenly Father had provided for our work in Meigu, and will give to all glory and gratitude to our Lord!
